Texas is beautiful! I didn't really feel this way until I went to Concan, Texas this past weekend. I have always heard that there were some beautiful landscapes in Texas, but i have always had a hard time believing it.We went hiking, kayaking, swimming in the river, swimming in the lake and star gazing! It seriously was a fantastic trip! Concan is gorgeous. It's surrounded by trees, hills, a clear blue river, wildflowers and incredibly nice people. If you ever have a chance to take a trip to Concan, I completely recommend it. It's definitely a relaxing vacation where you can get your mind off things.
The whole trip I felt like a kid with no worries, but what was for dinner (I know, fatty), but I have always been that way. Speaking of dinner, I have a little funny story to tell. My partner and I went to this little steakhouse the first night we were there because we had no food until our friends arrived. We decided to order chopped sirloin. I thought chopped sirloin was something completely different than what it actually was. Chopped Sirloin is a burger patty. I am sure everyone knows that out there besides me and my partner. Well anyways, I ordered mine medium and my partner ordered his medium rare. When they got to the table, they were rock solid and seemed like they were cooked more than well-done. I was going to complain about the steak, but the sweet cook came out and said her husband always asked for medium rare, but she wasn't going to let anyone eat that bacteria found in beef. I don't even know why she asked us what we wanted, since she already planned to turn our burgers into rock solid burgers. I couldn't complain after she came to the table so concerned about our health. It turned out that they always dreamed about opening their own steakhouse and it finally happened for them a few weeks ago. Who am I to destroy their dreams and tell them their steaks were not so great after all. Nevertheless, she gave us this huge piece of strawberry, cool whip cake to take back to the room. It was absolutely delicious and made up for everything! I was so happy to hear that the steakhouse has always been a dream of theirs to own and it finally had happened for them. Everyone out there, don't forget to dream and have hope for things to actually happen! I know not everything is possible, but many things are with the correct effort.
I still haven't figured out this whole blog thing by the way. I guess you can see that by my lack of comments on the questions I have asked. If you are out there, I still need your help and I am not going to give up. I think I have just been having a little bit too much fun this weekend and have not worked on getting this thing out there enough. But its coming and pretty soon I will have some beautiful, absolutely adorable baby clothing for all of you out there! Question for you (invisible person), what's your favorite baby brand?
